Scrimmage, Ice Cream Social, and
Athlete Recognition

On August 22, 2014, there will be a special alumni recognition of athletic teams and/or individuals who qualified or won the UIL state tournament. These teams or individuals will be recognized during the Jefferson vs. Laredo United Football Scrimmage and Ice Cream Social event at Alamo Stadium between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. This scrimmage will be the first game on the new turf and renovated stadium.

Attached is a list of teams and individuals that Jefferson would like to honor during this Football Scrimmage. If your name is on the attached list or you were a member of one of these teams, please contact Ed Garza or Manny Ruiz for more details on how you can be a part of this memorable event. Also, we would love to hear from you if you know how we might be able to contact one of these team members or individuals on this list.

Yearbook Digitizing Project Progress

The final batch of books are due back to TJHS HPS in mid-September. This last group of books contained significant marking and writing over some of the pictures, and special processes are being employed to remove them and leave the yearbooks in the best shape possible.

This final shipment marks the completion of the yearbook digitization project that puts the Monticellos from 1932 to the present in a archival quality portable document format files, as well as very high-resolution scans of each page.

TJHS HPS plans to present a copy of the CDs containing the 80+ Monticellos to Jefferson during thi year's Annual Meeting. An additional copy of the yearbook CDs are being held in a safe deposit box at TexStar bank.
